Madison, Canby and Dawson libraries have scheduled a bus trip to the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum on Wednesday June 1. If you are interested in learning about the many plants, natural habitats, native trees and the research that goes into creating hybrid plants that will thrive in Minnesota you need to sign up for this trip. An educational tram ride is included so you will get a tour of the many habitats spread around the landscape. After the tram ride, you will be on your own to explore the rest of the area including the Local Artists building. There are a few seats left in Madison and a waiting list has been started.

The Wonderweavers Storytellers are coming to the Canby Elementary School, Thursday May 5th at 1:00 p.m., with Stories Alive! Books Alive!
Reading and stories go hand in hand. In this lively program your favorite stories and books come alive with our unique blend of storytelling. Using audience participation, puppets, props and magic, this program promotes literacy and reinforces the importance of reading for people of all ages.

A short history of computers, hardware and software, and operating computers with hands on practice. Space is limited.
Session 2 will be Wednesday, May 11th: 6:00-8:00 p.m. and will cover the internet . Session 3: Wednesday, May 18th 6:00-8:00 p.m. : with overall review and questions.
Canby First Grade visited the library and was told about all the things that are available to them, and how to get a library card and then Bev Benz read the book “The Book With No Pictures by B.J. Novak.
